Evening Embrace

Evening Embrace. Digital art created on canvas. August 15, 2024. Afrika Abney

As the sun dipped below the horizon a few hours back, the evening settled in, wrapping the world in a gentle embrace. In this tranquil atmosphere, I find solace in the soothing symphony of crickets chirping outside my window, their rhythmic sounds weaving a tapestry of calm that enhances my creative space. With each note they play, I feel more inspired, allowing their melody to guide my thoughts as I delve into the vibrant world of digital art.

Immersed in this serene environment, I turn my attention to my digital palette, a vast array of colors waiting to be transformed into visual stories. Each hue beckons me, inviting exploration and experimentation as I carefully select the shades that will bring my artistic vision to life all while the crickets continue their evening serenade.

This harmonious blend of nature and creativity fuels my passion, making the act of creating feel almost meditative. The crickets' song serves as a backdrop to my artistic journey, reminding me of the beauty that exists in the world around us. With every stroke and every choice of color, I am not just crafting an image; I am capturing a moment, a feeling, and a connection to the evening that envelops me, allowing my imagination to soar in this peaceful sanctuary of creativity.

Creative Entertainment

Quote found on the Internet  “The 1990s marked a transformative era for the entertainment scene in Washington, D.C., where the convergence of political dynamics and cultural expression significantly influenced artistic endeavors. As the capital of the United States, the city served as a vibrant backdrop for political dialogue, which was often reflected in the creative outputs of its artists. Various forms of media, including documentaries, performance art, and literature, emerged as powerful tools for addressing urgent social issues, fostering a deeper engagement with the public and prompting critical discussions on contemporary matters.” I was a student during the 1990s up until the late 1990s.
