Isolation Series

“If isolation tempers the strong, it is the stumbling-block of the uncertain.”-  Paul Cezanne   “No one can live entirely on their own, nor can any country or society exist in isolation.” Daisaku Ikeda Isolation series are based on the personal and professional experiences that Ms. Afrika Abney encountered as a black female from America and living in America. Each piece expresses the pain, triumph and courage that she demonstrated in every situation that Ms. Abney was faced with. She depicts this through color, texture, and technique. https://www.estherproductionsinc.com/product-page/isolation-1 https://www.estherproductionsinc.com/product-page/isolation-2

Pandemic

Pandemic. Abstract painting on canvas. Afrika Abney  The pandemic has changed the lives of many people and small businesses for the past three years. As a result of the pandemic, I have created numerous paintings revolving around the pandemic. When I created the abstract painting entitled: Pandemic, I thought about the colors and technique. One of the colors that I selected was salmon pink. "Salmon pink color symbolizes:  expression, fellowship, compassion, and individuality. The effects of salmon: stimulates, inspires, supports, and reassures. While salmon is sometimes used to refer to colors ranging from pale pinkish-orange to light pink, the true salmon color mixes pink with a touch of orange and is just on the lighter side of coral. With pink being the driving color behind salmon, it is considered a hopeful color and a signal of health and happiness." https://www.estherproductionsinc.com/

Hiring Process

I am not an animal . Therefore, as part of the hiring process, I should have been allowed to use the restroom for however long that I needed to as long as I was not doing anything else that I have no business doing in the restroom. N umerous times people have hired me and refused to let me use the restroom, did not supply me with the materials that I needed and requested for, and think that I should use up all of my funds for various things like paper towels and toilet paper. Why do I need to ask someone else for basic supplies that should be kept in the classrooms and restrooms? If you asked me for a supply list and did not fulfill the request that you made. What was the point of really hiring me from the beginning? This is not proper procedures for a hiring process. The hiring process should be handle in a professional demeanor and all rules should be followed for all employees. I should not have had to report to the hiring department about how unfair I was being treated on working
