Pure Dialogue

I have no idea what is going on unless you have picked up the phone and me directly. I do not believe in gossiping and spreading lies. I only am aware of what I am solely doing. Have a safe day

I create Pure Dialogue using technology and my own creativity.

The exploration of human experiences within the context of abstract art

Quote found on the Internet “The exploration of human experiences within the context of abstract art reveals a profound interplay between emotion and perception. Abstract art, characterized by its departure from representational forms, invites viewers to engage with their own feelings and interpretations. This genre transcends traditional boundaries, allowing individuals to connect with the artwork on a personal level, often evoking a range of responses that are deeply rooted in their own life experiences. The absence of recognizable subjects encourages a more introspective approach, prompting viewers to reflect on their emotions and thoughts as they navigate the vibrant colors, shapes, and textures presented before them.”

Yellow Harmony Tambourine

Yellow Harmony Tambourine. Digital art created on August 13, 2024. Afrika Abney  Throughout my life, I have explored a diverse range of musical instruments, each offering its own unique sound and character. Among these, the tambourine holds a special place in my heart, with its vibrant jingles and rhythmic potential. Inspired by this beloved instrument, I embarked on a creative journey to translate its essence into the realm of visual art, resulting in an abstract digital painting that captures the spirit of the tambourine. The artwork, titled "Yellow Harmony Tambourine," is a vivid representation that intertwines the lively energy of the tambourine with a striking color palette of yellow and purple. These colors were deliberately chosen to evoke feelings of joy and creativity, reflecting the upbeat nature of the music produced by the tambourine. The abstract forms and dynamic composition within the painting aim to convey the rhythm and movement associated with playing this...

Today's Inspiration

My days have been filled with a blend of research and creativity, as I immerse myself in the soothing melodies of the birds chirping just outside my window. This natural symphony serves as a backdrop to my digital art projects, where I channel my inspiration into vibrant creations that reflect both my inner thoughts and the beauty of the world around me. Each stroke and pixel is a testament to my dedication, as I strive to capture the essence of my surroundings while exploring new artistic techniques. Recently, I have also ventured into the realm of event services, where I leverage my skills as a consultant to offer valuable insights and support. This new endeavor allows me to connect with clients and help them bring their visions to life, whether it’s through strategic planning or creative direction. The excitement of collaborating with others and contributing to memorable experiences adds a dynamic layer to my work, making each project unique and fulfilling. Balancing my research, a...

Quote from the Internet What is happening in a world filled with judgement, prejudice, gossip, deception, and discrimination? Well, some of those things have been depicted in Ms. Afrika Abney's art. However, from June 3 to July 2, 2024, she discarded several abstract collages and paintings as she felt they did not represent her best work. Meaningful Christmas

The act of blogging

Blogging has been a crucial part of my career journey since I started as a consultant at 15. I realized the importance of sharing my insights with a wider audience, leading me to start my own blog in 2017. The act of blogging has significantly enriched my professional life and through this platform, I have the opportunity to explore various subjects related to consulting, while also receiving feedback and engaging in dialogue with my readers. This interaction not only enhances my understanding of the topics I cover but also inspires me to continue evolving as a consultant and a writer, ensuring that my contributions remain relevant and impactful.

East of the Anacostia River

““East of the River” was simply a geographical description without particular significance. But, it later became how some describe the neighborhoods east of the Anacostia River — often with a negative connotation. During the 1930s and 1940s, land development of the area continued alongside increased racial diversification of the region. At the end of World War II, white flight into suburban Maryland and Virginia resulted in a majority-Black Anacostia. The Anacostia River watershed in the District of Columbia and Maryland is home to more than 800,000 people, 43 species of fish and some 200 species of birds. The watershed has been heavily urbanized over time, losing 6,500 acres of wetlands and 70% of its forest cover. Over the past four centuries the Anacostia has been given many names: the Eastern Branch of the Potomac, the other national river, the dirtiest river in the nation, the forgotten river.” I am dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals and famil...

The Abstract Experience

The Abstract Experience. Digital art created on canvas. October 9, 2024. Afrika Abney  “The Abstract Experience emphasizes the immersive and subjective nature of engaging with abstract art. Abstract art is a multidimensional style that takes many different shapes. Many people struggle to grasp abstract art because of its vagueness and lack of empirical depiction. Abstract art doesn't try to represent anything in a visual realistic context, but more about creating a sense of thought, feeling, and a reaction to a visual experience. Abstract art doesn't contain recognizable objects, so there is nothing to grasp or hold onto. This can be very confusing, even threatening, to some who are not used to assigning their own meaning to what they see before them.” I studied abstract art when I was a student from various art institutions as a result of NationHouse not having a visual arts course.
