With the principle of faith, I am fortunate that I graduated from Bell Multicultural High School in 1993 because I felt alone, depressed, traumatized, isolated and discriminated against every time that I stepped inside the school from 1991 - 1993. The colors gold and shades of yellow are deliberately selected to depict optimism, while black represents faith.

Simple White

The necessity for acquiring whiteboards has diminished for me, as I ceased offering educational services back in 2018. Since that time, my focus has shifted entirely. I have been working on my branding and digital art where I utilize various digital applications to express my creativity. In this context, the color white serves a significant purpose, often representing simplicity and clarity in my artistic endeavors. “The concept of Simple White embodies the essence of minimalism, where the purity of the color white acts as an open canvas for creativity and innovation, allowing ideas to flourish without the distractions of complexity. The color white encourages a harmonious balance between creativity and tranquility.”

Implementation of innovative strategies

In the upcoming months, specifically from the fall of 2024 through June 2025, I will be focusing on the development and implementation of innovative strategies to enhance the services I offer in the realm of art and consulting. This period will mark a significant transition in my professional approach, as I will no longer be providing complimentary or educational services. Instead, my emphasis will shift towards delivering high-quality, value-driven offerings that align with the evolving needs of my clientele. For those who are interested in engaging my services, whether they are prospective clients or previous clients, it is essential that all requests be submitted in writing. This formal approach will ensure that I can adequately assess and respond to each inquiry with the attention it deserves. By establishing this protocol, I aim to streamline communication and foster a more professional relationship with those seeking my expertise in art and consulting.

During my time at various art institutions, I encountered instances of racism and discrimination. These experiences were disheartening and highlighted the challenges faced within the visual art and dance community. Six years prior, the year was 2018. During that time, I did not engage in the creation of abstract digital art. Reflecting on that period, it is clear that my artistic endeavors were directed elsewhere, and I did not explore this particular medium. My attention is not directed towards the past, despite my full awareness of it. The experiences and choices I made in 2018 are part of my professional history, yet they do not define my current focus or artistic pursuits. Instead, I am looking forward, concentrating on the present and future possibilities. While I acknowledge the absence of abstract digital art in my portfolio from 2018. At this current moment, I am fully focused on my digital art, branding and providing my services for my client.

Skyward Harmony

Afrika Abney Looking out from my window, I was greeted by clouds drifting lazily across the sky, while a solitary bird soared gracefully above. The scene sparked a wave of inspiration within me, prompting me to reach for my digital palette. I carefully chose a variety of blue hues, blending them with soft whites to capture the essence of the sky and the fleeting beauty of the bird in flight. With each stroke of my virtual brush, I began to translate the atmospheric beauty before me onto my digital canvas. The cool blues danced harmoniously with the gentle whites, creating a sense of depth and movement that mirrored the clouds and the bird's elegant trajectory.
