The name calling is uncalled for. For those that are unaware, I was 4 - 13 from 1980 - 1989. In order for someone to become aware of something they have to be introduced to the subject at hand.
“Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, served from 1981 to 1989 and is often remembered for his charismatic leadership and significant impact on American politics. Before his presidency, Reagan was a prominent actor in Hollywood, which helped him develop a strong public persona. His transition from the entertainment industry to politics began in the 1960s when he became involved with the Republican Party, eventually leading to his election as the Governor of California in 1966. Reagan's governance in California laid the groundwork for his national political career, showcasing his ability to connect with the public and articulate conservative values.
During his presidency, Reagan implemented a series of economic policies known as "Reaganomics," which emphasized tax cuts, deregulation, and a reduction in government spending. These policies aimed to stimulate economic growth and reduce inflation, and they were characterized by a belief in the power of free markets. Reagan's administration also focused on strengthening the military and taking a hard stance against the Soviet Union, which he famously referred to as the "Evil Empire." His foreign policy initiatives, including the Strategic Defense Initiative, were pivotal in shaping the geopolitical landscape of the late 20th century.”
