Yesterday, I observed the first quarter moon phase. According to my research, “the first quarter moon is a lunar phase that occurs when the moon is a quarter of the way through its orbit around Earth, and appears half-illuminated from Earth.” 


This distinct description provides background and inspiration behind the creation of the art produced.
