The Romantic Consultant

I do not believe in open relationships. I am a hopeless romantic, straightforward, talented, loyal, organized, gifted, strategist, researcher, and a consultant. I have not provided any dance  performance services since 2016. I do not remember Ms. Cindy Jackson from the Howard University's Upward Bound program from 1992. I was 15 at that time. I do remember Mr. Marvin Sinn  (1987) apprenticing under and Mr. Winston Kennedy from Howard University  (1987). I was 11 years old at that time and a student at NationHouse. My favorite restaurants have been closed for many years and my favorite food is not French nor Italian. I am an American and an adult. I have had the opportunity to provide numerous services. I do not conduct dating services. I have had the opportunity to work with many children until 2018. I have many favorite movies on tv. I am very selective. Only attracted to single straight male over the age of 30. Not interested in dating women, married men, senior ...

Thanksgiving

“Best of all is it to preserve everything in a pure, still heart, and let there be for every pulse a thanksgiving, and for every breath a song.”- Konrad von Gesner  Thanksgiving. Digital art created on canvas. November 28, 2024. Afrika Abney  Thanksgiving has been tough for me since I was a student between losing loved ones, facing traumatic experiences, and overcoming racism and discrimination.  “Thanksgiving in Washington, D.C. during the 1970s was a unique blend of tradition and the evolving cultural landscape of the era. The nation’s capital, known for its rich history and political significance, became a focal point for various Thanksgiving celebrations that reflected both the solemnity of the holiday and the vibrancy of the 1970s. As the decade progressed, Thanksgiving in Washington, D.C. began to reflect broader societal changes, including the growing awareness of social issues and the push for civil rights. The holiday served as a reminder of the impo...

The principles of Christmas

Quotes found on the Internet “The principles that define Christmas—love, generosity, and hope—play a crucial role in shaping a more compassionate society. These ideals encourage individuals to extend their hands and hearts to others, fostering relationships built on mutual respect and understanding. As people embody these values, they contribute to a collective effort to enhance the human experience, paving the way for a brighter and more unified future.”

Affection

Affection manifests in various forms, including physical touch, verbal expressions, and acts of kindness, all of which serve to strengthen interpersonal bonds. “Research has shown that affectionate interactions can lead to increased levels of happiness and reduced stress. When people engage in affectionate behaviors, such as hugging, complementing, or simply spending quality time together, they release oxytocin, often referred to as the "love hormone." This biochemical response not only enhances feelings of closeness but also promotes trust and empathy among individuals, thereby enriching their relationships and overall life satisfaction.” The color associated with affection is red.  Red Embrace. Digital art created on canvas. December 10, 2024. Afrika Abney  Red symbolizes affection and care.

Platform of Expression

Designed with the intention of fostering a deeper appreciation for abstract art, the Platform of Expression serves as a catalyst for conversation and exploration. “As we reach the end of art appreciation month and the last day of August 2024, it is disheartening to see the continued lack of appreciation for abstract art. Despite its rich history and profound impact on the art world, abstract art often faces criticism and misunderstanding from those who fail to recognize its complexity and beauty. It is crucial that we take the time to delve into the world of abstract art, to understand its significance and appreciate the imagination and emotion that artists pour into their work. Abstract art challenges traditional notions of representation and invites viewers to explore their own interpretations and emotions. It is a form of art that pushes boundaries and defies easy categorization, making it a valuable and dynamic contribution to the art world. By dismissing abstract art ...

School Leaders

“A school leader is an employee or officer of a school who is responsible for its daily operations and instructional leadership. This can include principals, assistant principals, or other individuals.  School leaders can have a significant impact on a school and its community. They can also work to maintain curriculum quality, enforce discipline, and manage both teaching and administrative staff.” Quote found on the Internet  I have successfully helped school leaders such as Ms. Dahlia Aguilar, Ms. Rachel Sussman, and Mr. Simon Rodberg. Through my roles at Mundo Verde PCS (2013 - 2014) and DCI (2016 - 2017) when I served as a substitute teacher, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of strong leadership in the education sector and navigate complex challenges and implement innovative strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
