Consultant

Created and designed by Ms. Afrika Abney

"A consultant is a person who's an expert in a particular field who gives professional advice to individuals and businesses in their area of expertise, usually on a temporary or contract basis until a particular need has been met. Companies hire consultants to: Get an objective, outsider opinion on processes or systems.

A consultant's duties include meeting with clients, understanding requirements, conducting data analysis, presenting findings, formulating plans, arranging training, evaluating progress, and staying updated in their field.

Consultants can perform a range of duties that may vary considerably depending on the industry. In a nutshell, consultants provide expert opinions, analysis, and recommendations to organizations or individuals, based on their own expertise. They’re essentially fixers, serving as objective troubleshooters, and providing strategies to prevent problems and improve performance.

Consulting jobs often offer employers the opportunity to supplement their existing team members with an outside perspective.

Consultant can mean a lot of things, but it usually means someone who is hired on temporary contracts to work for organizations external to their employer. Some consultants prefer an hourly rate, while others charge per project or based on a retainer. You can choose whether you want to be paid up front or at certain milestones along the way. Consultants get to work with diverse teams on many types of projects, always learning and broadening their experience. With 20 years of experience under your belt, you may be charging $150 or even $200 per hour.”

Creative Entertainment

Quote found on the Internet  “The 1990s marked a transformative era for the entertainment scene in Washington, D.C., where the convergence of political dynamics and cultural expression significantly influenced artistic endeavors. As the capital of the United States, the city served as a vibrant backdrop for political dialogue, which was often reflected in the creative outputs of its artists. Various forms of media, including documentaries, performance art, and literature, emerged as powerful tools for addressing urgent social issues, fostering a deeper engagement with the public and prompting critical discussions on contemporary matters.” I was a student during the 1990s up until the late 1990s.
