2022 Year In Review

Summer Blossoms. Acrylic on Canvas. 14 * 18. Afrika Abney

Summer Blossoms, abstract finger painting created on canvas using colors that represent the Summer.

I recently had one of my abstract paintings featured on the cover of a book and the painting is entitled: Summer Blossoms. It is entitled: Kaleidoscope. For more information about the book, contact Esther Productions, Inc at estherproductionsinc@gmail.com.

In 2022, I have implemented over 30 new strategies. As a consultant, I would say that I have received numerous feedback on my effective strategies. Each strategy was uniquely different for each event that I provided and offered services. During the pandemic which began on March 9, 2020, I provided and offered all of my services online. I had to ensure that each service that I provided was effective and successful. This was challenging for me because I was used to providing services for in person events hosted by Esther Productions, Inc and BZB International.

I had to completely revamp all of my services online as a result of the restrictions and precautions revolved around the pandemic.

I provided services for the following events that were hosted by Esther Productions, Inc and BZB International. Among them include NRW 2022, Soaring Sisters Circle, Whatever Happened to Daddy's Little Girl? Unraveling the Mystery; Healing the Pain; Growing the Personal Power, Kaleidoscope, 4th Annual Essay Contest, Inside Job Writing Workshops, Discovering Me Summit and Awards Ceremony, and 30th Annual BZB Gift and Art Show. Additionally, I provided services for Father's Day Conversation with Jonetta Rose Barras and DayEight Writing Camp.

Therefore, I want to thank everyone who has offered some form of support and interest in my overall background and work as a consultant. And, thank you to everyone who supported, Esther Productions, Inc and BZB International.

If you would like to stay updated to see what's new, please feel free to contact me at afrikamabney@gmail.com.

Thank you very much. I hope that you have a safe day.

Happy Holidays

Cordially,

Ms. Afrika Abney

Today's Inspiration

My days have been filled with a blend of research and creativity, as I immerse myself in the soothing melodies of the birds chirping just outside my window. This natural symphony serves as a backdrop to my digital art projects, where I channel my inspiration into vibrant creations that reflect both my inner thoughts and the beauty of the world around me. Each stroke and pixel is a testament to my dedication, as I strive to capture the essence of my surroundings while exploring new artistic techniques. Recently, I have also ventured into the realm of event services, where I leverage my skills as a consultant to offer valuable insights and support. This new endeavor allows me to connect with clients and help them bring their visions to life, whether it’s through strategic planning or creative direction. The excitement of collaborating with others and contributing to memorable experiences adds a dynamic layer to my work, making each project unique and fulfilling. Balancing my research, a...

The intention and significance of my digital abstract paintings

“The intention and significance of my digital abstract paintings are not rooted in themes of sexual relationships. Instead, they serve as a medium for my self-expression, allowing me to convey the stories and emotions that inspire each piece. Through these artworks, I aim to communicate my personal and professional experiences and the narratives that shape my creative vision.”

Aurora of the Moon

Aurora of the Moon. Digital art created on canvas. August 15, 2024. Afrika Abney “The waxing gibbous moon presents a captivating sight in the night sky, as it is illuminated beyond the halfway mark but has not yet reached its full brilliance. This phase of the moon casts a soft, enchanting light that reveals more than fifty percent of its surface, creating a mesmerizing glow that captivates observers and inspires wonder. In the artwork titled Aurora of the Moon, I focused on the relationship between vibrant colors and the luminous aura surrounding the moon. This abstract digital painting captures the essence of the moon's glow, inviting viewers to explore the dynamic interplay of light and color that defines this celestial body. My fascination with nature serves as a driving force behind the creation of this piece. For many years,I have drawn inspiration from the wonders of nature, allowing the elements of the environment to influence their creative process. This connection to th...

Holiday Inspirations

Holiday Inspirations. Digital art created on canvas. December 6, 2024. Afrika Abney  I have been watching many movies with titles that reflect my personality, background and experiences. There is no hidden agenda for watching them. Each movie just as the holidays provide inspiration, hope, and devotion.  When I was 13 in 1989, I celebrated Kwanzaa. I stopped celebrating Kwanzaa in 2015 when I discovered that the creator of Kwanzaa was a rapist.

Identity and Narrative

The decisions I make are deeply intertwined with the journey I have traveled and the experiences that have shaped me. As an African-American woman, my identity is a significant part of my narrative, influencing how I perceive the world and interact with it. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of exploring various locations, each visit enriching my understanding and perspective, all while fulfilling the demands of my professional life. In the present on this brand new day, I aim to share my branding blog, digital art and provide my services because all of that is my profession.

Integrity Connect

Quote found on the Internet “The significance of respect and honesty cannot be overstated when it comes to personal, romantic, and professional relationships. In personal relationships, these values serve as the foundation for trust and understanding.  In romantic relationships, respect and honesty take on an even more profound role.  Honesty in romantic contexts is equally vital; it helps to prevent misunderstandings and builds a sense of security. In the professional realm, the values of respect and honesty are equally important.Honesty in the workplace is essential for establishing credibility and trust.” Integrity. May 1, 2023. Shades of Perseverance

Shades of Perseverance. Digital art created on canvas. October 8, 2024. Afrika Abney  Shades of Perseverance is depicted with the layers of brush techniques, shades of brown against the solid background. When I was a teenager from 1989 - 1996, I implemented not only the shades of perseverance, but continued to move forward on graduating from each educational institution that I attended between 1989 - 1997.  According to my research, “the exploration of struggle and survival is vividly encapsulated in a palette dominated by earthy browns. This color scheme evokes a sense of resilience, reflecting the harsh realities faced by individuals and communities as they navigate through adversity. The various shades of brown symbolize the complexities of life, from the deep, rich tones that represent strength and endurance to the lighter hues that suggest hope and renewal. Each nuance tells a story of perseverance, illustrating how people confront challenges a...

Transparent Experiences

Starting from the beginning means understanding that my journey is different from yours. Trying to obtain if I am joking, means that you really were not transparent when I met you. I was 2 years old in 1978 and enrolled at NationHouse. I participated in numerous activities when I was a student at NationHouse. At Bell, from 1991-1993, I was 14 -16. I have no clue who nominated me to participate in the completion that I participated in from 1992-1993. When I was a student, I was only attracted to boys. Boys who act like gentlemen. As an adult over the age of 30, I am only attracted to single straight male over the age of 30 who act like gentlemen. When I worked in various settings, I was only interested in the services that I provided, not dating. It is unethical for me to go on dates when employed. I have removed myself from those settings. Since 2018, I have not provided any educational, career day and free services. Better questions produce stronger answers.I have thrown ...
